START OF A NEW SEASON!
Fall Ball will begin the week of September 25, with two practices a week. Practices will be one weekday (TBD) and Sunday morning from 8:30-10:30am (with a break for Fall Break). All practices will be held at Cholla Park (11320 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale 85259). We do plan on participating in two Winter Tournaments with dates/events to be determined. Practice schedule for the Spring season will be announced at a later date but you can anticipate practice being held five nights a week starting in early January.
ABOUT CHAPARRAL LACROSSE
Chaparral Lacrosse Inc is a nonprofit organization, without financial support from the school or the district. All fees cover field rentals, referees, trainers, coaches’ salaries, uniforms, field equipment, transportation to league games in Tucson, as well as the end of season banquet and gifts.
As a nonprofit organization, we thrive on parent/guardian volunteers. Our Board of Directors and parents work on a volunteer basis so that our children will have a great experience playing lacrosse. Throughout the season we will need your help with a number of club activities from game day set up and scoring, fundraising, and marketing/social media. Please know that all players will be asked to participate in our on-line fundraising drive which we typically conduct in January. It is critical we have 100% participation to assure our club continues to grow and thrive. More information on the fundraising drive later this Fall.
FEES AND REGISTRATION
Registration requires a Non-refundable yearly registration fee of $925.00. Returning parents/players will note the small increase - the first increase in over five years. The minimal increase is to simplify league registration and enhance our game day player kits. In addition to the club expenses listed above, the club will pay each player's Arizona Lacrosse League (ALL) registration (normally paid directly by parents). Furthermore, the club will provide gameday shooter shirts for all players which they will get to keep after the season.
You may pay registration in full or in two separate payments. To begin Fall Ball practice all players MUST pay either the full payment or the initial registration fee of $500.00. If you elect to pay two installments, the second payment will be due on December 1, 2022. No player will be permitted to take the field without completing registration and paying the initial/full payment. Again, the registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
